Airport and high speed rail connections to the hospital stations

For Baiyun Airport T2, use Airport North station on metro line 3. Guangzhou Metro’s 6 May 2026 notice says Airport South station suspended service from 7 May when T1 airlines moved to T3. Check the terminal on your ticket; do not reuse old T1 directions.

From T3, go to the tourist bus centre, East Passenger Station, on level 1 of the T3 transport centre. Take Konggang Line 2 Branch (空港2线支线) to Gaozeng, then metro line 3 or 9. This involves a bus connection; allow for the current service arrangements rather than assuming a fixed frequency or travel time, and follow the signs to the boarding point on arrival.

After arriving by high speed rail at Guangzhou South, follow the metro signs to Guangzhou Metro line 2. Guangzhou Metro lines 7 and 22 are also available at the station. Choose the line for your destination, distinguishing Guangzhou line 2 from Foshan line 2 before heading to the platform.

Suggested connections assembled from the official station tables and hospital directions: from the airport’s line 3, change at Yantang to line 6 for Quzhuang and the eye centre’s Quzhuang campus. From Guangzhou South, take line 2 to Haizhu Square, then line 6 to Yide Lu for Memorial Hospital’s north campus; for the Provincial People’s Hospital Dongchuan clinic, change from line 2 at Gongyuanqian to line 1 for Martyrs’ Park. Choose a base around the main campus, not the region’s label

Compare accommodation near the campus you will use most. Yuexiu is a starting area for the Quzhuang eye campus, Memorial Hospital’s north campus and the Provincial People’s Hospital Dongchuan clinic; Tianhe or Zhujiang New Town for the eye centre’s Zhujiang New Town campus. Check each property’s address, entrance, accessibility and route to the clinic.

Ask accommodation providers questions that change the decision

Before booking, ask the property about its exact address, check in with your identity document, cancellation terms and room configuration. For stairs, lifts or a step free entrance, request current details directly; ask specifically about steps, lift access and the route to your room. Explain any separate sleeping area, quiet space or paperwork space a companion needs before paying. Ask about current prices, the actual approach to the entrance and any hospital arrangement separately. Keep the reply with the booking so your family knows the agreed conditions and questions still awaiting answers.

Use hospital metro directions as a destination reference

Save the Chinese station and campus names offline. After the suggested connections reach the hospital station, use the campus exits below for the final approach and look at current operator notices before departure. Exit names alone cannot establish lifts, a step free route or a walking time. Ask the operator about station facilities and the hospital about assistance or a suitable vehicle drop off point, then add the usable approach to your destination card.

Coordinate family roles without assuming a hospital service

Agree who carries the appointment confirmation and handles changes. Confirm interpretation for registration and the consultation separately. If you need pickup, a shuttle or luggage storage, ask who provides it and on what terms. Share only the transport details needed by the driver or property.

Keep later appointments and departure plans flexible

Consultations, investigations and report collection may need separate visits or locations. Ask how the next step will be confirmed and whether you must attend again. Discuss fitness to travel with the treating team before choosing a return date. Update the route and accommodation if the campus changes.
